ABOUT THE ARTIST

- I create Spaces, that is what i do -
L.
Lisa Feuerstein (born 1994) is a multidisciplinary, self-taught artist
from Cologne, Germany.
She creates her own worlds between figurative and surrealist painting.
Her works explore the resonance between consciousness and environment
and asks questions of perception, potential, and transformation.
Her artistic strength lies in her ability to create spaces
that lead people out of their everyday lives
into intense moments of self- and world-perception.
By combining classical painting techniques
with contemporary forms of expression such as Virtual Reality art,
Feuerstein opens immersive artworks that make her world tangible and alive.
For her, her works are living entities.
One can dive into her paintings like into a book
or engage in a conversation with her “Guardians of Consciousness” -
the sculptural, painted beings she has created
to help us not lose sight of infinity in times of transformation.
Her works are characterized by symbolic figures, imaginative landscapes,
and meditative or mystical atmospheres.
In 2023, Lisa Feuerstein presented not only her oil and gouache works
but also her first Virtual Reality artworks.
Since then, she has been showcasing them through live painting performances,
offering audiences the unique opportunity to enter her world
- For me, there exists this open, ever-shifting field, where everything is possible and ready to be created.
That is what art feels like to me. -
L.
Lisa Feuerstein has been creating her own imaginative worlds since childhood.
She taught herself drawing techniques at an early age
and painted with oil paints for the first time at the age of eight.
She wrote texts, stories, and even a small play.
She was always fascinated by profound questions, music, and human nature.
For Lisa, the world as a child was a magical place
in which she intuitively trained her creativity and imagination in many ways.
After graduating from school, she did not study fine arts,
but fashion and communication design in Düsseldorf.
Today, Lisa says that she is grateful to know creativity from different perspectives
and that the art she now creates is not the product of years of academic formation,
but a deeply authentic expression of her inner world.
After finishing her studies, she began her journey toward independence,
exhibiting her first artworks and small fashion collections
in Cologne and the South of France starting in 2021.
In 2023, she was selected by the city of Saint-Tropez
to present a large solo exhibition at the cultural venue Lavoir Vasserot.
Lisa considers this exhibition the debut of her professional artistic path.
Since then, she has continued to present solo and group exhibitions
at renowned venues across the South of France and beyond.

ARTIST STATEMENT
- I would like to invite you into my world of thoughts -
to look into the greatest and the smallest,
to breathe deeply,
to slow down time.
Since I can remember, I have been drawn to the great questions of life
and to the curiosity about what it truly is that moves us at the deepest level.
Especially when I observe these times of change,
I find myself wondering how far we have evolved as a species
and what it takes for us to meet the challenges of the modern world.
In the ever-flowing stream of the present,
we as humanity are constantly redefining ourselves.
We feel the restlessness and pressure of this era
and find ourselves nervously chasing after something
we are never quite able to grasp.
And the more we try to control everything,
the less we walk through the world with an open and awakened mind.
We need authenticity, understanding and intelligence. We need magic, nature and creative power.
For me, there exists this ever-shifting field
in which everything is possible and ready to be created.
That is what art feels like to me. -
